Rescuers, Life Flight respond after fall at Upstate silo, officials say

A woman fell into a silo in Anderson County Wednesday afternoon, prompting rescuers to respond to the scene, officials said.

Dispatchers said the call came in about 3:15 p.m. about a fall at a silo on Bethany Church Road near Honea Path Highway, or Highway 252.

Officials say the woman was working on top of the silo when she fell into it, falling 40 feet to the ground.

Officials said crews from the Anderson Fire Department requested assistance at the scene from Anderson Technical Rescue.
