In many parts of the country hunting season is a perfectly valid reason to miss school. You just have your parents fill out a permission slip that said you’ll be hunting for the day — and school understands. Sometimes, however, kids feel like they need a “better” reason for missing school. A 12-year-old girl from Texas wrote in her school’s sign-out form that she was “headed to go put the smack down on a monster buck.”
