A Texas officer is being praised saving a baby who had stopped breathing

Inside Edition claims Splendora, Texas police chief Rex Evans is being hailed as a hero for saving a baby. He was recently on patrol when a woman pulled up beside him and screamed that her baby wasn't breathing. Rex jumped into the woman's minivan and began CPR on the child. The baby started breathing again as an ambulance arrived on the scene. Rex tells KTRK; "The baby was very discolored. Eyes were rolled back. Immediately started some compressions and lifted the baby forward, because I observed that there was some liquid in its mouth and around its nose. Cleared all that out. Within about a minute or so, baby, its eyes rolled back, forward, and started immediately to breathe and cry. It was such a relief."
