Looking over new data in last night from the National Hurricane Center shows a track that could put the Upstate in a more direct path. Here's the latest: Florence is predicted to make landfall in the Wilmington area Thursday night as a 3 or 4 storm. The Euro Model shows Florence meandering South towards Myrtle Beach and then slowly moving as a tropical system into the Upstate by Sunday into Monday. It would be a Tropical Depression by then with the potential of wind gusts of 30mph and more importantly, a tremendous amount of rain. This is still not a done deal of course. But the Euro and GFS model both seem to agree that this storm path is a little closer to home than we'd like.
