So I remember when Popeye's first opened on Wade Hampton Boulevard in Greer. It was so wildly popular that they temporarily ran out of chicken. Now we're seeing, on a national level, the popularity of their new Chicken Sandwich is beyond their own business forecasting. Popeye's said they planned to have inventory to last until the end of September. They didn't make it until the end of August. So..time out in this so called "chicken sandwich war"...Popeye's ran out of ammo.
