On This Whistleland Day In 1997

When I first moved to Greenville, one of my first experiences was a concert at "the old brown box". I remember how excited we all were that a new coliseum was being built just next door. But on this day, 22 years ago, as our WYFF friends remind us, the Greenville Memorial Auditorium, open since 1958, fell into a cloud of dust 39 years later. It's been over 2 decades since the dust settled and still nothing has replaced it's footprint.
