Dan + Shay joined Brandon Lake for Cowboy Church on Sunday (June 7) at the Country Music Association’s CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lake hosted Cowboy Church for an at-capacity crowd at the free outdoor venue. The Christian singer-songwriter included Dan + Shay, Lainey Wilson and CeCe Winans in the faith-fueled show. Lake said in a clip he and the duo shared on Instagram on Wednesday (June 10), “I know it’s Cowboy Church, but we gonna sing a love song because the truth is, I don’t think we’d be the men that we are if it wasn’t for the women in our lives.”

Dan + Shay joined Lake to perform “She Believes In Me,” an unreleased collaboration that they previously debuted at one of Lake’s shows. The artists tried “an unreleased idea in front of 12,000 people,” during a show at Credit One Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina. Dan Smyers, half of the duo with Shay Mooney, wrote in the comments on Instagram, “should we release this one?”

Dan + Shay recently announced their upcoming studio album, Young. So far, they’ve released the title track and “Say So” from the 10-track project, and played unreleased anthem “Marry You Again” during a performance at CMA Fest. Dan + Shay said Young “is by far our most personal album yet, and gives a real-time snapshot of exactly where we are in our lives,” Dan + Shay shared as they announced the record. “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your patience and support while we made YOUNG. We’ve never been more proud of a batch of songs, and hope they mean as much to you as they do to us.” Later this year, Smyers and Mooney will hit the road on “The Young Tour,” with Tyler Hubbard and Josh Ross on select dates.

Riley Green and Lara Spencer will host the televised special, which will air on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Thursday, June 25. The show will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
