A 16-year-old girl has died after an early morning drive-by shooting in Anderson after a graduation party at a local motel, according to the coroner.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Friday at the intersection of East North Avenue and Whitehall Road.
Lashanti Hester, 16, was taken to the hospital where she died, according to the coroner.
Hester died of a gunshot wound to the head, the coroner said.
According to the coroner, a fight started at the graduation party and continued at a convenience store prior to the shooting.
Police are searching for the vehicle and suspect involved. WYFF News 4 is working to get a description of that vehicle.
