Two people rescued by boater when floatplane crashes into Lake Jocassee

Two people were rescued by a boater when a floatplane crashed Wednesday into Lake Jocassee.

Crews with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded just before 1 p.m. to a report of a plane crash near Devil's Fork State Park.

Scott Krein, with Oconee County Emergency Services, said the plane was practicing water landings and takeoffs on the lake.
