Two people were stabbed in the neck on a Hilton Head beach on July 4 during a dispute over fireworks, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities said a group of people were walking on Hilton Head’s Burkes Beach access point when fireworks got too close for a family.
According to reports, the family asked a group of people to stop popping fireworks near a child. They told detectives that as they were leaving the beach, two of them were stabbed in the back of the neck, a report said.
Both men involved were taken to the hospital and have since been released.
