Upstate woman found covered in blood after smashing restaurant front door

An Upstate woman was found covered in blood and is accused of shattering the front door of a restaurant, according to police.

Belton police responded about 1 p.m. Sunday to the McDonald's on South Main Street.

They were told a woman shattered the front door of the building and then got into a blue Nissan Altima, according to Belton Police Chief Robert Young Jr.

Young said an officer found the vehicle and found Heather Marie Clouse, 36, of Honea Path, in the passenger’s seat.

Young said Clouse’s clothes were covered in blood and her hand was cut.
