Gabby Barrett posted a snippet of her soon-to-release summer anthem as she readies her next era of music. Barrett teased “Glory Days” on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon (May 31), and confirmed in her caption that the song will make its debut on June 9.
Barrett, 23, has previously shared a few behind-the-scenes looks from the recording studio as she works on her highly-anticipated sophomore album. She said in March that she had “3 songs down today for album number 2 🥰,” and teased another sneak peek. Before that, the American Idol alum shared teasers of her unreleased songs and confirmed that she was in the process of writing music for her second full-length collection. Barrett shared another “Glory Days” teaser earlier this month, as she got ready for the ACM Awards.
The forthcoming album follows Barrett’s smash-hit debut, Goldmine, which she dropped in 2020. Barrett released a deluxe edition of her first album the following year, which includes “Pick Me Up,” “Never Get It Back,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “The Good Ones (Wedding Version).” The new tracks added to original fan-favorites like “I Hope” (which was also released as a duet with Charlie Puth) “The Good Ones,” “Footprints On The Moon,” the title track and many others.
