âItâs time!â
Reba McEntire nodded to âQueen of Christmasâ Mariah Carey when she shared a festive announcement on Instagram on Thursday (October 23).
The legendary country artist will host this yearâs Christmas in Rockefeller Center special for her first time. McEntire, a coach on The Voice and star of the sitcom Happyâs Place, is also set to perform during the annual two-hour show. NBC noted in an announcment on Wednesday that âan all-star lineup of musical guests will be announced at a later date.â
McEntire, 70, recently revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that she and fiancĂ© Rex Linn, 68, got engaged on Christmas Eve in Tennessee (though they waited until they were on the red carpet at the Emmy Awards last month to announce it). She said âit wasnât planned at all. It was his choice. âŠHeâs very romantic. Very romantic. ...And I asked him, I said, âwell, when do you want to do this?â He said, âohâŠletâs have fun with the engagement time.â So, we havenât set a date or anything. Weâre just enjoying each other.â
Viewers can watch McEntire host the Christmas in Rockefeller Center special live on Wednesday, December 3 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
