Dolly Parton shared a sweet message to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after receiving a $2 million donation from the couple to her Imagination Library.
Parton, 80, founded the charity in the ‘90s to gift books to children at zero cost to families. The beloved country legend said in a clip she posted on her social media accounts on Friday (July 3), “Taylor and Travis, it's Dolly, and I was just told that you two were making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library. I'm blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude.
“Now, it's evident, that you have made giving back a key part of your lives, so hey, when you have your firstborn, can I have it? Because that is gonna be one special baby!” Parton joked. She continued, “You know the mission of the Dollywood Foundation is to dream more, care more, learn more and be more, and thank you again for your very generous gift. And, we'll continue that mission even in bigger ways now with your money. So, thank you, and know that I will always love you.”
Swift and Kelce reportedly donated $26 million to various charities ahead of their rumored wedding. The couple also supported The Store, a nonprofit founded by Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley to allow individuals and families experiencing food insecurity to shop for their own free groceries “with empathy, dignity, and respect.” Williams-Paisley and The Store said in a statement on Thursday (July 2), in part: “We’re incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their transformative gift to The Store. 💚 …Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness as you begin this next chapter together.”
