Dasha shared an update on her recovery after undergoing surgery.
The “Austin” hitmaker, 26, recently opened up about the surgery on her vocal cords. She said in an interview with Billboard on September 29 that she experienced vocal problems “from the past two-and-a-half years of craziness [on tour] that just hit me like a truck. You don’t really get a lot of sleep. You talk, talk, talk and you party and you sing. It just caught up with me.” She underwent the surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dasha said she’s “all good,” shared a clip of herself in the hospital post-surgery on Instagram on Friday (October 23). She wrote in her caption, “lol i barely remember this but surgery went well!! thanks for all the love and to the doctors at Vandi 🩵” In the video, Dasha waves and shares a message in sign language as text over the clip reads, “hi surgery just finished, all good.” She added, in part, “my throat huts like a b**** wow. But I’m going home and gonna sleep, sleep and sleep some more. …My mom is here and she’s amazing. I love you. And I’m all good. Surgery went well.”
Dasha confirmed to Billboard that she’ll be ready to attend the Country Music Association’s 60th CMA Awards next month, though she won’t be ready to perform yet. The “82 Chevy” artist also looked ahead to her new record arriving in 2027, which she predicts will be “an album that people really remember me by. …I do well under pressure, and I just have a lot of high expectations for myself with this album, so the surgery is gonna allow me to be at the top of my game.”
