The Greenville Pickens Speedway began as a dirt track back in the 1940's. Over the years, the true legends of NASCAR have raced there. Petty, Earnhardt, Pearson...all of them have turned the wheel on this legendary short track. Well folks, it's 2023 and the old track appears to be going the way of the old Greenville Memorial Auditorium and other parts of the Upstate's past. The land is up for sale and the plan is to turn the acreage into an industrial park.
