What Doctors Found During Lunchbox’s Urology Appointment

The Bobby Bones Show checked in on Lunchbox after his recent doctor’s appointment.

For the last several months now, he's been dealing with stomach pain that several different doctors could not explain. Later, he mentioned that one of his testicles was swollen, something he had not originally told his doctor. After being encouraged to go back, he was referred to a urologist and moved up to an earlier appointment. Lunchbox went to the urologist and was immediately sent for an ultrasound. He was surprised by the process and noted that gel was applied and both testicles were examined. The room was dark, and the procedure took about 20 minutes total. Lunchbox admitted he fell asleep during the ultrasound and had to be woken up when it was finished.

Afterward, he returned upstairs where the doctor performed a physical exam and asked him questions. He was also asked to urinate into a device to measure his stream and check if his bladder emptied completely. The results showed that he emptied his bladder fully. The doctor said she believed his pelvic floor muscles were too tight, which could be causing pain in his side and stomach. She also suspected there may be an infection causing the testicle pain and suspected the two issues might not be related. She prescribed medication and referred him to pelvic floor physical therapy to help loosen the muscles.

Lunchbox also received a prostate exam, which he said was uncomfortable. The doctor told him his prostate looked good and did not show signs of cancer. He was told to follow the treatment plan and to come back in two to three months or sooner if the pain got worse. He said his left testicle was still painful and uncomfortable, even after starting the medication. He noted that the swelling changes throughout the day and is tender to the touch.

Lunchbox shared that he would continue following the doctor’s instructions and provide updates as things progress.
