Bobby Bones Show Debates Their Enneagram Types and Learns More About Each Other
How well do your coworkers really know you? A listener from Tampa sparked a fun conversation on The Bobby Bones Show after asking if the crew knew their Enneagram personality types, leading to plenty of self-reflection, playful debate, and a few jokes along the way.
For those unfamiliar, the Enneagram is a personality framework that sorts people into nine different types, each with its own strengths, motivations, and tendencies. While Bobby admitted he doesn't buy into every personality test out there, this is one he actually finds valuable.
"Of all the weird things that you can look up and take a test on, this is the one that I actually think is quite real," Bobby shared.
Bobby says he's firmly an Enneagram 8, also known as The Challenger. The description fits him perfectly, according to both him and the rest of the room.
"I don't like bullies. I'm gonna challenge anything that I don't feel like is being accurate or honest," Bobby explained. "I'm a challenger, hardcore."
Amy revealed she's previously taken the test with a certified Enneagram professional and was told she's a Type 3, The Achiever. While she accepted the result, she admitted she sometimes questions whether she truly fits the category because she compares herself to other people who identify as threes.
That didn't stop Bobby from joking that Amy might actually be a fictional Type 10: The Doodler, a category he completely made up because she's always doodling during the show.
Meanwhile, Eddie shared that he's landed on multiple results over the years, including Type 9, The Peacemaker, and Type 2, The Helper. After some discussion, the group largely agreed that Type 9 sounds the most like him.
"You sacrifice sometimes your own feelings just to keep the peace," Amy told Eddie, explaining why she sees him as a Peacemaker.
As for Lunchbox, he admitted he'd never even heard of the Enneagram before the conversation. Rather than diagnose him, Bobby jokingly invented another fake personality type, calling him an 11: Rage, which immediately led to laughter when the group pointed out that the Enneagram only goes to nine.
The conversation ended with Amy suggesting everyone take the test together so they could compare their results and better understand how they work as a team. While the others weren't exactly rushing to schedule a group session, it made for a hilarious discussion about personality types and how each member of the show sees themselves.
So now we're curious: Do you know your Enneagram type? Let us know if you agree with Bobby's Challenger diagnosis, Amy's Achiever label, or Eddie's Peacemaker vibes!
